We don't always like admitting that we feel envious. Seeing someone else enjoy something we want for ourselves can bring up feelings of inadequacy, frustration, resentment or even helplessness.
But what if envy is pointing towards something important? Sometimes we envy what we believe we cannot have, achieve or experience. We may feel powerless to change our circumstances or believe that something is simply out of reach. Beneath that feeling, however, there may be a desire waiting to be acknowledged.
In this Art for Wellness workshop, we'll use guided drawing and reflection to explore what lies beneath envy. We'll look at what we desire, the beliefs that may be limiting our sense of possibility, and the strengths and resources we can draw upon to move forward.
Rather than comparing ourselves with others, we'll explore how to turn envy into self-understanding, inspiration and personal empowerment. What if what you envy in someone else could help you discover what you want for yourself?
