Many reflective drawing approaches, including NeuroArt, NeuroGraphica, Art of Manifesting™, Intentional Drawing, Art for Wellness, and Emotional Wellness Art, are rooted in the idea that creativity, intention, reflection, and simple guided drawing can support self-awareness, emotional exploration, new perspectives, and meaningful personal growth.

Art for Wellness is an Accessible and Supportive Creative Process

No artistic experience or drawing ability is needed, only a pen, paper, and a willingness to explore.

Throughout the process, you are gently guided through reflective drawing practices designed to support self-awareness, insight, clarity, emotional exploration, and meaningful personal growth.

Most sessions use simple lines, shapes, symbols, colour, and intuitive expression. Drawings can be as simple or as detailed as feels comfortable and supportive for you.

Following a session, many people appreciate having a visual reflection of the insights, themes, ideas, and experiences that emerged throughout the process.

With Debbie you have a Certified Teacher of the Art of Manifesting, Neurographica Specialist, Certified Life Coach, and Energy worker that combines these modalities to help people with the change they want to make.  

Debbie has spent her entire life working on personal change and has trained in these methods to help others for 5 years.  Debbie can help you realise your goals and make changes in your life.  With a heart-centered approach, Debbie listens and customises her tools to the needs of the client.

How Does a Private Art for Wellness Session Work?

In private Art for Wellness sessions, we work together using guided reflective drawing practices to explore a question, challenge, goal, transition, or area of personal growth that feels important to you.

You choose the focus of the session, and together we explore supportive approaches based on your needs, interests, and intentions.

Through the drawing and reflection process, many people discover new perspectives, insights, ideas, emotional awareness, and a deeper connection with their own inner wisdom.  

If this is your first experience with Art for Wellness coaching and guidance, I recommend beginning with a complimentary Discovery Chat. During this conversation, we explore what you are looking for support with, discuss possible approaches, and determine whether this process feels aligned and supportive for you.  

Private sessions are available online or in person in Pointe-Claire / Montreal West Island.


How Do Online Group Art for Wellness Session Work?

In group Art for Wellness sessions, I choose a reflective theme or focus for the drawing process, though suggestions and ideas are always welcome.

As with private sessions, participants are gently guided through the creative drawing and reflection process step-by-step. No artistic experience is needed.  

I regularly offer online workshops that can be joined from anywhere in the world. All live workshops include access to a recording for registered participants, and many past workshop recordings are also available for purchase for those unable to attend live.  

Drawing together in a supportive group environment can be a deeply calming, creative, reflective, and encouraging experience. Over time, a sense of connection and community often develops among participants who return regularly.

This gentle and accessible creative process is open to anyone who feels drawn to explore it.

Small Group In Person Workshops

Drawing together in person can be a calming, creative, supportive, and deeply enjoyable experience.

 If you live in the Montreal or West Island area, you are warmly invited to join one of my small in-person Art for Wellness workshops.  

Each workshop is centered around a reflective theme or focus that I gently guide the group through using creative drawing and connection practices.  

For me, these gatherings are about much more than the drawing process itself. They are also about community, conversation, connection, reflection, creativity, shared experiences, and the simple joy of spending meaningful time together.  Workshops are intentionally kept small to create a welcoming and supportive atmosphere where participants can relax, connect, ask questions, share ideas, and get to know one another.  

We begin with time for greeting, conversation, and reflection before moving into the guided drawing process. At the end of the workshop, participants are invited to share their drawings, insights, and experiences while enjoying refreshments together.  

Over time, these gatherings often become spaces where genuine connection, encouragement, and friendships naturally develop.

Frequently Asked Questions

Art for Wellness is most often an abstract form of drawing. You do not need to have any skills besides being able to hold a pen. You are coached in the drawing process and will receive expert guidance.

Sessions are held in person or over Zoom. The work is equally effective as long as we are able to talk and you can show me your drawing from time to time. I draw with you to guide you and my drawing is visible during the session.

Prior to, or at the beginning, of the session we will discuss your issue, problem, topic, and your desired result. Together we will select the process to use. Most sessions take about 1 to 1.5 hours. With a complex topic we can make a longer session or work on the topic over 2 or more sessions. At the end of the session, you have a visual reference to anchor you in the change.

It is the goal of the session, the desired result, that drives the work forward to change.

For in person sessions, I provide the drawing materials, but you are welcome to bring your own, if you wish.

For zoom sessions, you will need: drawing paper or white unlined paper, pen(s), and if you wish you can use coloured markers, pencils and/or highlighters, and a paper for notes. You will also need access to a device to join the online meeting. 

There are many videos on YouTube and they can help, but they are generic and not specific to any one client's needs at that time. They may be led by a trained drawing coach or not.

A drawing coach is trained in the drawing process, and the coaching process. It is a thorough training to ensure that clients get the best help possible.

I am a Certified Life Coach, Intentional Drawing Coach, Neurographica Specialist, Art of Manifesting ™ Drawing method Certified Teacher, as well as an energy worker.

Most children love to draw but sometimes the feedback they get can feel discouraging. If this is you then Art for Wellness is the perfect solution. With gentle, supportive guidance you will be guided to draw to make change in emotions and thoughts.

If you can hold a pen or pencil then you can draw to make change in your life with guidance.

If you can hold a pencil and draw lines and circles then you can draw Art for Wellness. You are guided through drawing lines, circles, and basic shapes.

The purpose of Art for Wellness drawing is not making a drawing, it is to set an intention and then to draw and feel the change you want to bring in.

If you can hold a pen or pencil then you can draw to make change in your life with guidance. 

There is a lot of scientific research on the ability of the brain to learn and change throughout our entire life (neuroplasticity). Plus there is a lot of research on how all arts, drawing, music, writing, and dance help us connect with our body, emotions, and thoughts in ways that we do not connect through words and this helps us access our inner wisdom for insights.

I get it. The idea that we can make change, plan projects, find resources and solutions through drawing is novel. Many people have not heard of this yet. The concept of NeuroArt was first proposed in 1922 but it is very recent that specific drawing processes to make change have been developed.

Neurographica came to life in 2014 and the Art of Manifesting Method ™ was developed in 2025.

I started on this path in 2022 and I have been drawing for change every since. Drawing has helped me access many insights about myself and make significant changes in how I feel and think. I have realised and released many limiting beliefs, come to appreciate the many resources in my life, stop feeling alone and unsupported, and grown enormously in my self-confidence.

Plus I have trained in Neurographica and the Art of Manifesting so I bring a solid skill and knowledge set to the work.
