Drawing On Black

Drawing on black paper is a very signigicant practice. It challenges us to go different and deep and supports us in accessing wisdom, and insights because it is a powerful practice that is so different from the usual way of working with colour on white paper. Drawing on black, with the support of moon energy, will empower release, realisations, change, and growth. In these 5 workshops, we will draw with black paper. I will upload a video with helpful hints before the workshop.

What Do You Need?

For these workshops, we will be drawing on black paper. You may need to look at some supplies.
You will definately need:
* Black drawing paper
* A selection of some or all of the following:
* Pencils
* Light-coloured, chisel-highlighters
* Light-coloured markers
* Acrylic pens

I have tested the above and they work either for drawing liness (pencils or acrylic markers) or for shading (light-coloured highlighters and markers). See the video below where I draw the lines in the image and show you the materials.

Here are the brands that I have:

* Pagather 24 Colour Acrylic Paint Markers
* Castle Arts Soft Touch Coloured Pencils
* Brutfuner Oil Colour Pencils

I bought the Pagather markers on Amazon because they had refillable tips. Recently, I went to get the replacement ink tips and I can't get them in my area. Now, I am trying the Artistro and I did check that the replacement tips are available in my area.
I encourage you to get the black paper and then dry drawing with the supplies you already have and see how it goes. However, based on my test, for the lines and main colouring the best choice is the acrylic markers.

The acrylic markers, and pencils are good for colouring while markers, highlighters, and pencils are good for shading.

If you really can not wrap your head around the idea of drawing on black, you can use white paper. But it will fun and more dramatic to draw on black.
